Engineer: Virginia Department of Transportation, Chuck Snyder and Jungi Meng PHD, PE
Material Used: Fortec Stabilization 300 gsm unidirectional Carbon Fiber Fabric with 4550 Epoxy Resin
Project Scope:
Concrete column has been struck by traffic several times creating shear stress cracking in column. Cracks were wrapped in 0o and 90o directions.

Bridge Column Repair


Conclusion:
The use of Fortec Carbon Fabric restored compression and shear capability of column that was damaged. Column repair was completed in 6 hours.
