Fortec Carbon Bars
Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) rods (rebar) for structural reinforcement
Carbon Rods Fortec Carbon Bars are pultruded carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) rods or bars for structural reinforcement. They are designed for strengthening concrete, timber and masonry structures and usually used with the Near Surface Mounted (NSM) installation technique. Bars are inserted into grooves cut into the substrate and bonded with an epoxy resin. The bars can also be used as original reinforcement for these structures and used for mechanical connection of Fortec CFRP fabrics on substrates where additional anchorage is desired.

Key Features
  • Fast installation time
  • No substrate surface preparation required
  • Simple groove installation
  • Easy gun-applied epoxy resins
  • Protected via recessed installation
  • Better fire resistance

Fortec Carbon Plate System
Unidirectional Carbon Fiber Plate for structural reinforcement and containment
Fortec Carbon Plate System Fortec Carbon Plate System is a unidirectional, pre-impregnated, carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) comprised of high tensile strength and high modulus carbon fibers encapsulated in a thermal set resin and cured under pressure during the manufacturing process and designed for use as an externally applied reinforcement for strengthening concrete, timber and masonry structures. A peel-ply fabric is adhered to the plate and when removed leaves a prepared bonding surface for adhesion to a prepared substrate. Fortec Carbon plates and CFRP plates can be manufactured for various modulus and tensile strengths as well as bidirectional systems. Fortec Carbon Plate System are typically field installed using Fortec #4020 Epoxy Gel.
Key Features
  • Designed for use in lieu of multiple layers/plys of fabric
  • Supplementary reinforcing of beams & slabs
  • Inert reinforcement in highly corrosive environments
